Ping Pöng
From January 14 to January 24
To kick off this new year, we are opening up our space to eight artists, bringing them together to install their work. It is through their eyes and their perception of space that the exhibition will be created. To this point, it is a dialogue that will happen between four German and four French artists.
We wanted to break down the narrative of a rigid curated show, isolating the curator from the artist. Rather, having the artists bridge together the predefined roles of an exhibition, in order to build and fabricate their own show.
The French – German citizen funding program has been generous in supporting this project, which enables a meeting between these two bordering countries. It is the opportunity of a back and forth collaboration, a ping pöng between a variety of mediums ranging from painting, installation, sculpture, illustration and photography. The four French artists are Solweig de Barry, Luc Demissy, Faye Formisano, Gisèle Gonon in conversation with German artists Jana Mertens, Johannes Mundinger, Babette Semmer and Frederick Vidal
Come and join the game.
Opening night: 14th of january 2022 – 18:00 to 22:00 h
A guided tour in French and German in presence of the artists will take place on the 22th of January in the frame of the French-German day
Exhibition running from 14 to 24 january 2022

Soirée d’ouverture : 14 janvier 2022 – 18:00 to 22:00 h
